영어 공부 혼자 하기 over

제가 오늘 혼자 공부한 표현은 over입니다. 

전치사와 부사로 나누어 정리하겠습니다. 보시면 의미가 비슷한 경우가 많습니다.

하지만 전치사뒤에는 목적어(명사)가 나오고 부사뒤에는 목적어(명사)가 나오지 않습니다.

아주 중요한 부분이니 아무리 뜻이 비슷하더라고 over이 이렇게 쓰이는구나~ 알아 두시면 좋겠습니다^^

전치사	부사
above or higher than something else, sometimes so that one thing covers the other; above: 위로 The sign over the door said "Exit". 문위의 싸인은 '바상구'라고 쓰여 있습니다.	from a higher to a lower position; down: 아래로 The lamp fell over and broke. 램프가 떨어져서 깨졌습니다. He was run/knocked over by a taxi. 그는 택시에 치였습니다.
in a position that is covering something: 다 덮이게 I put a shawl over my shoulders. 나는 어깨에 숄을 둘렀습니다.	across; from one side or place to another: 건너서 She leaned over and kissed me. 그녀는 몸을 기울여 나에게 키스를 했습니다.
across from one side to the other, especially by going up and then down: 너머 She jumped over the gate. 그녀는 게이트를 넘었습니다.	used to describe the way an object moves or is moved so that a different part of it is facing up: She turned another page over. 그녀는 또 다른 페이지를 넘겼습니다.
falling down from somewhere: 넘어져서 The coin rolled over the edge of the table. 동전이 테이블 가장자리 아래로 굴러떨어졌습니다.	changing or exchanging position: 위치를 바꾸어 Would you mind changing/swapping those plates over? 저 접시들의 자리를 좀 바꿔주시겠어요?
falling because of stepping on something: ~에 걸려 (넘어지는) She tripped over a toy lying on the path. 그녀는 통로에 있던 장남감에 걸려 넘어졌습니다.	above or higher than something else, sometimes so that one thing covers the other: 위로 A fighter plane flew over. 전투기가 위로 날아갔습니다.
more than: ~이상 Most of the carpets cost/are over $5,000. 대부분의 카페트는 5천불 이상입니다.	more than a particular amount or level: 이상 People who are 65 years old and over can get half-price tickets. 65세이상인 사람들은 표를 반값에 구매할 수 있습니다.
increasing to further than a particular limit or point: 한도를 넘어서는 They are already $25 million over budget. 그것들은 이미 이천 오백만불 한도초과 입니다.	(especially of an event) finished: 끝난 I'll be glad when the competition is over. 경쟁이 끝나면 기쁠거예요
on the other side of: 건너편, 너머 There's a bar over the road we could go to. 길 건너편에 우리가 갈 수 있는 바가 있어요. The story continues over the page. 이야기는 페이지를 넘겨 계속됩니다.	extra; not used: 여분의, 사용하지 않은 I have some euros left over from the last time I was in France. 저는 지난번 프랑스에 있을 때 사용하고 남은 유로가 좀 있어요
(referring to a cause of interest, worry, discussion, etc.) connected with or about: ~에 관한 I need time to talk/think over your proposal (= to discuss/consider it carefully). 저는 당신의 제안에 대해서 이야기할 (생각할) 시간이 필요합니다.	again or repeatedly: 다시, 반복해서 You ruined it - now I'll have to do it over! 당신이 그걸 망쳤어요! 이제 제가 다시 해야한다구요!
during something, or while doing something: (기간) 동안 I was in Seattle over the summer. 저는 여름에 시애틀에 있었습니다.	said when you are talking to someone by radio, to mean that you have finished speaking and will wait for their answer: (통신에서) 말씀하세요 "This is flight 595X. Do you read me? Over."
in control of or teaching someone or something: 통제하거나 가르치는 A good teacher has an easy authority over a class. 훌륭한 선생님은 학급을 수월하게 통제하십니다.
using: 사용하여 They spoke over the phone. 그들은 전화로 이야기했습니다. We heard the news over the radio. 우리는 라디오로 그 소식을 들었습니다
sometimes used when talking about a calculation in which one number is divided by another number: 나누어 40 over 7 is roughly 6. 40을 7로 나누면 대략 6입니다.
